Before installation, confirm that the delivered valve matches the approved order and that the line can accept it without forcing the body or actuator. Good checks prevent problems that are difficult to diagnose after start-up.
Match identification to the duty
Review tag, series, size, pressure designation, materials, seat arrangement and actuator configuration. Check the required flow direction and control signal. Resolve any difference between the order, nameplate and documentation before installing the assembly.
Check the mechanical fit
Verify flange drilling, face-to-face length, gasket suitability and clearance for the moving segment where applicable. The piping should be supported and aligned; the valve must not be used to pull misaligned flanges together. Allow space for actuator removal, positioner service and safe access to air isolation.
Protect the internal surfaces
Keep protective covers in place until needed, inspect for transport damage and follow the manufacturer’s cleanliness instructions. Debris from fabrication or flushing can damage seats. Installation and subsequent testing should be performed by qualified personnel using the approved procedure for the exact assembly.
