A replacement should match the required function and interfaces, not merely the nameplate size. A technically sound alternative is supported by a documented comparison and identified deviations.
Capture the existing installation
Collect the current datasheet, nameplate, dimensions, actuator details and photographs. Explain why replacement is needed: wear, control instability, leakage, lead time or a changed process. If the original valve failed because the duty changed, copying its specification may repeat the problem.
Compare technical performance
Review required coefficients at each operating case, characteristic, pressure recovery, seat leakage and shut-off differential pressure. Check body and trim materials, flow direction, temperature rating and allowable torque. Confirm the actual flange interface and assembled envelope. Similar product names do not prove drop-in compatibility.
Control the transition
Ask for a deviation list and approve the selected drawing before manufacture. Plan any new wiring, air connections, positioner setup or spare-parts requirements. Retain a comparison record for future maintenance. Reference to another brand is for technical comparison; it does not establish affiliation or identical performance.

- Existing duty and failure history.
- Capacity, seat, material and torque comparison.
- Exact dimensions and control interfaces.
- Approved deviations and commissioning plan.
