A useful RFQ describes the duty and required supply scope rather than only a valve name and pipe size. Complete information reduces clarification cycles and makes competing offers comparable.
Provide linked operating cases
For minimum, normal and maximum load, state flow, inlet pressure, outlet pressure and temperature together. Identify units and whether pressures are gauge or absolute. Add density, viscosity, vapor pressure or gas properties as relevant. Describe solids concentration, size and fiber content instead of using only the word slurry.
Define the assembly
State the size or piping interface, flange standard, preferred materials, leakage requirement and actuation. Specify minimum air supply or electrical power, control signal, feedback and failure response. Include hazardous-area, enclosure and environmental requirements. If a feature is mandatory, identify it clearly rather than leaving it as an optional preference.
Make the commercial scope explicit
Provide quantity, destination, required delivery basis and schedule. State drawings, inspections, witness points, certificates and spare parts needed with the order. Ask the supplier to list technical deviations and exclusions. Compare total assemblies, not a bare-valve price against a fully equipped package.
