Frequent operation, fail-action duties and modulating control
A pneumatic package combines the selected valve with a matched actuator. Modulating service normally adds a positioner; an on/off duty typically uses a solenoid valve and position indication. Single-acting and double-acting arrangements are selected around the process failure response.
