V-port ball valve vs globe control valve

Compare the whole operating envelope. Rotary V-port valves can offer high capacity and a compact assembly; globe valves offer a broad range of specialized control trims.

What changes the decision?

A V-port valve is not automatically the right replacement for a severe-service globe valve. Preserve the original noise, cavitation, shut-off and failure requirements when reviewing alternatives.

Compare offers on the same basis

  • Use identical medium composition, flow cases, pressures and temperatures.
  • State the same leakage test, failure response and accessory scope.
  • Compare expected maintenance and spare parts alongside the purchase price.
  • Request drawings and technical deviations before accepting an alternative.
